William S. Cohen is an American writer known for his thriller and suspense novels. He is also a politician who served in both the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate, and held the position of Secretary of Defense under Bill Clinton. Drawing on his background in international affairs and defense planning, Cohen has authored several non-fiction works and a poetry collection. He began his fiction writing career in 1985 with The Double Man, followed by A Baker’s Nickel the following year. His first book was a non-fiction title, Getting the Most Out of Washington.
