Victoria Aveyard is an American author known for her YA fantasy novels and screenwriting. She is the creator of the Red Queen series. Hailing from East Longmeadow, Massachusetts, Victoria earned a BFA in screenwriting from the University of Southern California. She made her literary debut in 2014 with Red Queen, becoming the first author to have a debut novel debut at No. 1 on The New York Times bestseller list for young adult fiction. Before the book's publication, Universal Studios acquired the movie rights, with a screenplay adapted by Gennifer Hutchison from Breaking Bad.
