Order of Tom Franklin Books

Tom Franklin is an American writer known for his Southern literature and crime fiction. He was born and raised in Alabama and received his B.A. from the University of South Alabama and his M.F.A. from the University of Arkansas. During his early career as a writer, he held various jobs, including heavy-equipment operator in a grit factory, construction inspector in a chemical plant, and clerk in a hospital morgue. He currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi, with his wife, poet Beth Ann Fennelly, and their children. Franklin made his literary debut with the short story collection Poachers, followed by his first novel, Hell at the Breech, published in 2003.
