Thomas Benigno is an American author and attorney, renowned for his The Good Lawyer series. He attended the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where he ranked among the top students in his class. Early in his career, he became an Associate Attorney, thanks to a recommendation from his law professor at the New York Legal Aid Society, Barry Scheck. He worked on several high-profile cases, including the notorious “Spiderman Rapist” case, which inspired his first novel. After three years at the Legal Aid Society, he left to establish his own practice. Eventually, he chose to shift his focus from criminal law to business and real estate law. His experiences at the Legal Aid Society proved to be invaluable and served as significant inspiration for his writing.
