Order of Tara Westover Books

Tara Westover is an American author and historian, renowned for her 2018 memoir, Educated. The book debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list and was a finalist for several awards. It was recognized as one of the best books of the year by O: The Oprah Magazine, Time, NPR, Good Morning America, The Guardian, and others. Born in a small Idaho town as the youngest of seven children, Westover was raised by survivalist parents who were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her siblings were homeschooled by their mother, who also addressed their medical issues through herbalism and alternative healing methods. Although she had limited access to textbooks, Tara aspired to attend college. She independently studied to pass the ACT Exam and gained admission to Brigham Young University without completing high school. After initial challenges, she graduated with honors and later attended Trinity College at the University of Cambridge, where she earned her Master’s degree.
