Susan Grossey is an English author renowned for her Sam Plank series, which delves into stories of money laundering and financial crime. These narratives are inspired by historical financial crimes set in 1820s Regency London. Born in Brussels, Grossey developed a passion for reading early on, often reading the Financial Times to her father. She studied English at Cambridge University and later taught at a secondary school, where she noticed that the curriculum stifled teachers' creativity. Subsequently, she worked as a technical author, and a manual on fraud prevention ignited her interest in money laundering and financial crimes, ultimately leading her to write novels.
