Order of Susan Cooper Books

Susan Cooper is an English fantasy writer best known for her The Dark is Rising series. She received the lifetime Margaret A. Edwards Award from the American Library Association, honoring her contributions to young adult literature. In addition to her novels, she has also written screenplays for television. Born in Burnham, Buckinghamshire, she lived there until the age of 21. She attended Somerville College at the University of Oxford, where she earned a degree in English. After graduating, she worked as a reporter until she published her first novel, Mandrake, in 1964. After relocating to the United States and starting a family, Susan became a full-time writer.
