Shirley Wells is an English author known for her crime fiction and romance novels, writing under the name Shirley Worrall. She is the creator of the Kennedy & Trentham series and the Dylan Scott series. Shirley grew up in the Cotswolds in England, where a headmaster noted that she was content to “dream her life away.” While living in Cyprus as an adult, she discovered that she could channel her dreams into writing fiction. Later, she relocated to the Orkney Islands in Scotland, where she began crafting short stories and romance novels. Eventually, she moved to Lancashire, England, and started writing mystery novels set in the region. In her free time, Shirley enjoys reading, listening to music, watching TV, and attending Burnley FC matches. She became a published author in 1999 with her novel A New Future Beckoning, written as Shirley Worrall, and made her debut as Shirley Wells in 2007 with Into the Shadows.
