Order of Sharan Newman Books

Sharan Newman is an American author renowned for her historical novels, particularly the Catherine LaVendeur series. The inaugural book in this series, Death Comes as Epiphany, received the Macavity Award for Best First Novel in 1994. Newman completed her undergraduate studies at Antioch College in 1971 and then attended Michigan State University, where she earned a master’s degree in medieval literature. She continued her studies in Medieval studies at the University of California at Santa Barbara for her doctoral work. Besides her writing, she also teaches lectures on medieval history.
