Sarah Waters is a British author known for her historical fiction. She holds a PhD in English Literature and has taught at the Open University. Waters has received numerous accolades, including the Betty Trask Award, Somerset Maugham Award, Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year Award, South Bank Show Award for Literature, CWA Historical Dagger, and the Waterstones Author of the Year Award. She was also recognized as one of the Best of Young British Novelists 2003 by Granta. Several of her works have been adapted for BBC and ITV.
