Order of Sarah Andrews Books

Sarah Andrews is a geologist and American author known for her popular Em Hansen book series. The protagonist in her novels is a geologist, and she often incorporates her real-life experiences into her writing. As a child, Sarah loved the outdoors and enjoyed exploring the woods in Maine. With a father who was an artist and a mother who was a teacher, she developed a passion for art and reading early on. At Colorado College, she studied both creative writing and geology, nurturing her two lifelong interests. Her book Tensleep is based on real experiences from her time working at Amoco. Sarah married a fellow geologist and had her first child at 42. After becoming a mother, she left her job as an environmental geologist to focus on parenting and writing.
