Rosemary Kirstein

Rosemary Kirstein is an American fantasy novelist known for her Steerswomen series. Born in Leominster, Massachusetts to German parents, she grew up in Connecticut, where she briefly studied music education at Central Connecticut University before leaving to pursue a career as a musician and songwriter. In the 1980s, she relocated to Greenwich Village, working as a folk singer while taking on various odd jobs, eventually becoming a computer programmer. For the last 15 years, she has made a living through various IT roles, including programming, technical writing, tech support, and user training. She currently resides near Boston.
