Richard C. Hale is an American author of thriller and action/adventure novels based in Jacksonville, Florida. He is the creator of the Near Death series, the Jaxon Jennings series, and the Lincoln Delabar series, among several other works. Prior to his writing career, Hale worked in various roles, including bartending, greenkeeping, serving as a veteran air traffic controller, and performing as a musician. These diverse experiences have enriched his writing. He resides in Jacksonville with his wife and holds a deep affection for his daughters and granddaughters.
