Rebecca McLaughlin is an American author and self-proclaimed Michigan enthusiast. She made her debut with the book, Nameless Queen, which explores the social and economic divide affecting many, all through the lens of magic, making the themes more accessible and entertaining. McLaughlin earned her degree in chemistry and creative writing in 2014. Since graduating, she has worked as a technical writer, but her passion for creativity led her to write Nameless Queen. The book draws inspiration from her own life, as she grew up in a lower-middle-class family and attended a private college—though hers lacked any magic.
