Raquel Vasquez Gilliland is a Mexican-American author of young adult novels and a poet. She earned her MFA in poetry from the University of Alaska, Anchorage. Her inspiration comes from fog, seeds, and the interconnectedness of things. When not writing, Raquel shares stories with her planets. She resides in Tennessee with her family. Raquel made her authorial debut in 2018 with two poetry collections. Her first novel, Sia Martinez and the Moonlit Beginning of Everything, is set to be published in August 2020.
