Rachel Abbott is an English author known for her crime thriller novels, particularly the DI Tom Douglas series. After working as a systems analyst, she established an interactive media company, during which she wrote daily, producing everything from user manuals to interactive dramas. In 2000, Rachel sold her company and relocated with her husband from England to Italy, where they purchased and renovated a 15th-century monastery that they used for weddings and holidays. Now a full-time writer, Rachel divides her time between Italy and Alderney in the Channel Islands. She made her debut as a published novelist in 2011 with the book Only the Innocent.
