Quentin Bates is an English author known for his mystery and crime fiction novels. He spent a year in Iceland that extended into a decade, drawing on that experience and a university writing course to create his Gunnhildur series. Although British, his style aligns more closely with Scandinavian crime fiction writers. In addition to his writing, Quentin works full-time as a journalist and feature writer for a niche nautical trade magazine.
