Order of Peter Carey Books

Peter Carey is an Australian writer known for his literary fiction novels. He attended a local state school until the age of 11, after which he became a boarder at Geelong Grammar School, which has also been attended by Rupert Murdoch and Prince Charles. In 1961, he spent a year studying science at Monash University, but it was not successful. Throughout his lengthy career in advertising, he worked for a small company that required him to work only two afternoons a week, allowing him ample time to write. Later, Peter relocated to New York, where he taught at various institutions. He made his authorial debut in 1974 with the collection The Fat Man in History.
