Order of Per Wahloo Books

Per Wahloo (1926-1975) was a Swedish crime fiction author, sometimes referred to as "Peter" in English. He is best known for his collaboration with fellow Marxist and common law partner Maj Sjowall as part of the writing duo Sjowall and Wahloo. Together, they created the Martin Beck series, and their novel The Laughing Policeman received the Edgar Award for Best Novel in 1971. Prior to his writing career, Per worked as a crime reporter. He passed away at the age of 48 from cancer in Malmo, Sweden. Wahloo made his novel debut in 1962 with The Lorry (also known as A Necessary Action), and his last novel, The Terrorists, was published in 1976, co-authored with Sjowall.
