Paul Murray is an Irish author known for his comic fiction novels. He studied English literature at Trinity College, Dublin, and obtained a Master’s degree in creative writing from the University of East Anglia. Murray made his novel debut in 2003 with "An Evening of Long Goodbyes," which was shortlisted for the Whitbread Prize and nominated for the Kerry Irish Fiction Award. His novel "Skippy Dies" was longlisted for both the 2010 Booker Prize and the 2010 Bollinger Everyman Wodehouse Award for comic fiction.
