P.C. Hodgell is an American writer known for her science fiction and fantasy novels, particularly the Kencyrath series. She holds a Master’s degree in English Literature and a doctorate from the University of Minnesota. P.C., also known as Pat, has long been passionate about science fiction and fantasy, amassing a collection of paperbacks and comics. Eventually, reading alone was not enough to satisfy her, leading her to start writing after college. It took time for her to hone her skills, but she was invited to the Clarion Writer’s Workshop, where she received support from authors such as Harlan Ellison and Kate Wilhelm. Pat resides in Wisconsin in a 19th-century wood-framed house that has been in her family for several generations. She made her publishing debut in 1982 with the novel God Stalk.
