Jack Lynch graduated with a BA in Journalism from the University of Washington and worked as a reporter for various newspapers in Seattle, Iowa, and Kansas. He eventually moved to San Francisco, California, where he spent some time bartending in Sausalito and working for a brokerage firm before joining the staff of the San Francisco Chronicle. After several years at the newspaper, he left to write eight Peter Bragg novels, drawing on many of his own experiences. Lynch received two Shamus nominations and one Edgar nomination, gaining a dedicated following among aspiring crime writers. He passed away in 2008 at the age of 78. In "Wolf House," the final installment of the Peter Bragg series, a series of murders occurs at Jack London State Park in California. Maribeth, a timid psychic, alerts Private Eye Peter Bragg as she senses the graves and fears she may be among the killer's targets. Bragg collaborates with a country girl sheriff’s detective to track down the murderer, and a sudden discovery connects the victims, prompting Bragg to race back to Jack London State Park to prevent the very killing that terrifies Maribeth.
