Anna Carey lives in Los Angeles and is a graduate of New York University, where she studied creative writing, and holds an MFA in Fiction from Brooklyn College. She has held various jobs, including gift wrapper, nanny, face painter, children’s book editor, sofa salesperson, and a notably bad cocktail waitress. In her free time, she enjoys writing, reading, and sharing only moderately interesting stories about her dog. Anna is the author of The Eve Trilogy and the Blackbird series, which was released on September 16, 2014. Her interests include miniatures, subway-generated wind, flea markets, chalkboard silhouettes, dance-offs, Arnold Palmers, Chinese finger traps, and belting out songs in the car. She has a dislike for pennies, paper receipts, and tuna fish.
