Order of Ocean Vuong Books

Ocean Vuong is the author who made a significant impact with his debut novel, On Earth We’re Briefly Gorgeous, released in 2019. He is also a highly regarded poet, with his first full-length poetry collection, Night Sky With Exit Wounds, winning several awards. Born on a rice farm in Vietnam, Vuong's family immigrated to the United States when he was two years old, eventually settling in Hartford, Connecticut, where he became the first in his family to learn to read. He earned his B.A. in Nineteenth Century English Literature from Brooklyn College, studying under poet and novelist Ben Lerner, which influenced his own career path. Vuong's poems and essays have appeared in various publications, including The Rumpus, The New Yorker, New Republic, and the New York Times. In addition to his writing, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the MFA Program for Writers at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
