Nicole Den-Benn is a Jamaican author renowned for her novel, Here Comes the Sun, which was recognized as Best Book of the Year by the New York Times and other outlets. The novel delves into several controversial issues in Jamaica, and she hopes it sparks conversation and reflection on these topics. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Dennis-Benn moved to New York at 17. She earned a bachelor's degree in Biology and Nutritional Sciences from Cornell University and later obtained a Master's in Public Health from the University of Michigan. Subsequently, she worked at Columbia University’s Department of Sociomedical Sciences before choosing to follow her passion for writing.
