Mitchell Hogan is a fantasy novelist who discovered his passion for the genre at the age of 11 after reading The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. Over the next decade, he immersed himself in reading, gaming, and rolling dice. His initial attempt at writing ended in failure, as he couldn't get past the first page. However, he continued to jot down ideas for future writing endeavors. Eventually, unable to ignore the novel brewing in his mind, Mitchell left his job to focus on completing the first draft of A Crucible of Souls. He resides in Sydney, Australia, with his wife and two daughters. Mitchell made his literary debut in 2013 with A Crucible of Souls.
