Order of Michel Faber Books

Michel Faber is an author known for his literary fiction, science fiction, and historical fiction. Born in the Netherlands, he moved to Australia with his parents during his childhood. He completed his education in the suburbs of Melbourne and attended the University of Melbourne, where he studied Dutch, Philosophy, Rhetoric, English Language (focusing on the translation and criticism of Anglo-Saxon and Middle English texts), and English Literature, graduating in 1980. Faber held various menial jobs, including working as a cleaner, before training as a nurse at Marrickville and Western Suburbs hospitals in Sydney, where he practiced until the mid-1990s. In 1993, he emigrated to Scotland, where he currently lives with his family. Faber made his novel debut in 2000 with "Under the Skin."
