Michael Sears is an American author known for his financial thriller novels, particularly the Jason Stafford series. Before becoming a novelist, he served as a Managing Director at two Wall Street firms, where he spent twenty years in the bond market, as well as in foreign exchange and derivatives. He returned to Columbia University for his MBA after a career as a professional actor, performing at the Shakespeare Theatre of Washington, Playwright’s Theater of Washington, New Jersey Shakespeare Festival, The Comedy Stage Co., and in every soap opera filmed in New York City within a single year. Michael is married to artist and poet Barbara Segal and has two sons. He published his first novel, Black Fridays, in 2012.
