Order of Meng Jin Books

Meng Jin is a Chinese-American author known for her novel, Little Gods. Born in Shanghai, China in May 1989, she later relocated to the United States and currently resides in San Francisco. Meng is a Kundiman Fellow, part of a national organization that supports the development of Asian American creative writing. She holds an MFA from Hunter College. Growing up in America, she learned much of her Chinese history through American textbooks, which often conflicted with the narratives shared by her family. This discrepancy stemmed partly from the tone of history textbooks and the personal nature of her grandmother's stories. This inspired her novel, where characters navigate historical events while the narrative primarily explores their desires, hopes, and dreams. Meng lives and writes in San Francisco with her partner, Neel, and their puppy, Tofu.
