Melissa Payne is an American author known for her contemporary fiction. She debuted in 2019 with "The Secrets of Lost Stones" and followed up with "Memories in the Drift" in 2020. Payne feels destined to tell stories, having done so throughout her life. Her writing journey began with her high school newspaper and continued as she blogged about marriage and motherhood. She recognized the significance of storytelling while working at a residential and day treatment center for abused and neglected children, where writing played a crucial role in helping the kids. She has since channeled her passion for writing into novels.
