Megan Whalen Turner is an American author known for her young adult fantasy novels. She graduated with honors in English language and literature from the University of Chicago. Although she does not have a specific title for her series, it is commonly referred to as Attolia, The Queen’s Thief, or the Thief of Eddis. She is married to cognitive scientist Mark Turner, and they have three sons together. Turner became a published author in 1995 with her short story collection Instead of Three Wishes, and her first novel, The Thief, was released the following year.
