Mat Coward is a British author known for his works in crime fiction, science fiction, and children's literature. He also contributes a gardening column to the Morning Star newspaper. Ellery Queen’s Mystery Magazine has described him as “one of the funniest writers in the history of crime fiction.” He resides in Somerset, England. Coward published his first book, a non-fiction work titled Cannibal Victims Speak Out, in 1995.
