Order of Marguerite Henry Books

Marguerite Henry (1902-1997) was an American writer known for her animal-themed children's literature. She is best known for the Misty series. While her primary focus was on horses, she also explored other equines, as well as dogs, cats, birds, foxes, and various other animals, highlighting the connections between humans and these creatures. Her novel Misty of Chincoteague was turned into the 1961 film Misty. Henry began her writing career in 1942 with the non-fiction book Birds at Home.
