Maddy Hunter is an American author known for her cozy mystery novels, particularly the Passport to Peril series. The inspiration for this series came when she joined a friend on a seniors’ tour of Switzerland, where she became intrigued by the characters she met and decided to base her series on that idea. Initially, Maddy Hunter wrote romances until her publisher discontinued their romance imprint. She transitioned to cozy mysteries with her debut novel, Alpine for You, published in 2003.
