Lisa Jensen is an American author known for her young adult historical and fantasy novels. Raised in California, she has spent her entire life near the ocean. For 25 years, she wrote movie reviews for a Santa Cruz newspaper and later contributed book reviews to the San Francisco Chronicle, focusing on historical and women’s fiction. In addition to her writing, Lisa has experience as a cartoonist, television hostess, and dollmaker. She resides in Santa Cruz, California, with her husband and their cats. Lisa made her novel debut in 2001 with "The Witch from the Sea," although an earlier version of the book was published in German in 1998.
