Order of Katia Lief Books

Katia Lief is an American author known for her crime fiction, psychological thrillers, and literary fiction. Born in France to American parents, she soon moved back to the East Coast of the United States, where she was raised. After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College, she returned to Paris, but later went back to the U.S. to pursue a publishing career in New York, among other jobs, and earned her Master’s in literature and creative writing. She has published works under her birth name, Katia Spiegelman, as well as Kate Pepper, and has ultimately settled on Katia Lief. She is the author of the Karin Schaeffer series. Katia Lief's journey as a published author began in 1993 with her novel Peculiar Politics, released under the name Katia Spiegelman. This novel was later re-issued in 2005 as Peculiar Politics: Love, Sex and the Wrong Bride and subsequently republished as Love, Sex & the Wrong Bride by Katia Lief. In 2004, she introduced her pen name Kate Pepper with the novel Five Days in Summer. Since 2010, she has been writing as Katia Lief, starting with the novel You Are Next.
