Katherine Center is an American author who gained recognition with her debut novel, The Bright Side of Disaster, which quickly became a success and was optioned for a film by Varsity Pictures. One of her notable achievements is How to Walk Away, a New York Times bestseller and a selection for the Book of the Month Club. Besides her writing, Center creates video essays, including a popular letter to her daughter about motherhood that was featured in the Defining a Movement series for the Mom 2.0 conference. She has also delivered a TEDTalk titled “We Need to Teach Boys to Read Stories About Girls,” which received positive feedback.
