Originally from Toronto, she grew up in New York City and has lived in various locations, primarily in the U.S. and England. Her travels through Europe, where she absorbed the continent's history, inspired her to begin writing. With a lifelong passion for reading and the stories her parents shared, Kate aims to convey the joy these experiences brought her to others. She enjoys crafting tales of ordinary individuals in unusual settings who unite against threats to pursue a shared objective. Kate O’Hearn published her first novel, Kira, in 2008.
