K.M. Dudley is an American author renowned for her book Cavalier, the first installment in its eponymous series. Raised in the Midwest, she attended the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she studied science and earned undergraduate degrees in both ACS chemistry and inorganic chemistry. Despite her scientific background, writing remained a passion, and after a decade of experimentation, she completed Cavalier. Dudley resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with her companion, a miniature Australian shepherd named Maverick.
