Juliet Marillier is a historical fantasy author from New Zealand. Although she was born in New Zealand, she now resides in a century-old cottage by the river in Western Australia. Her novels prominently feature elements of folklore and history, reflecting her lifelong passions. To date, she has received five Aurealis Awards and four Sir Julius Vogel Awards. Juliet is also a member of the druid order OBOD (The Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids), a global community of over twenty thousand individuals committed to Druidry spirituality.
