Julia Glass is an American writer renowned for her novel Three Junes, which received the National Book Award for Fiction in 2002. Born in Boston, she spent her childhood in Massachusetts, dividing her time between Belmont and Lincoln. She attended Concord Academy and later graduated from Yale University. Initially aspiring to be a painter, Julia lived in New York for several years, creating art in a small studio while supporting herself as a copy editor and freelance editor. Ultimately, she chose to pursue fiction, resulting in the publication of Three Junes.
