Josh Lacey is an English author known for his children's books, including the Dragonsitter series and the Grk series (under the name Joshua Doder). Born in London, he has spent nearly his entire life there. His childhood passion for reading carried into adulthood. Throughout his career, Josh has held various roles, including journalist, screenwriter, teacher, chef, librarian, and actor. He has a collection of Japanese pottery and enjoys mountain climbing. Josh made his publishing debut in 2004 with the non-fiction book The Timetraveller’s Guide to Saxon and Viking London (as Joshua Doder). His first novel, A Dog Called Grk, was released in 2005. He published his first work as Josh Lacey in 2005 with the adult non-fiction book God is Brazilian, and his fiction debut as Lacey came in 2008 with Bearkeeper.
