Order of John Vercher Books

John Vercher is an American author who made a significant impact with his debut novel, Three-Fifths, which was the inaugural release from Agora’s diversity-focused imprint, Polis Books. The Chicago Tribune recognized Three-Fifths as one of the best books of the year. Although this was his first novel, John had previously published fiction in Akashic Books’ flash fiction series, Mondays are Murder and Fri-SciFi. He resides in Philadelphia with his wife and their two sons. John earned his Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Pittsburgh and later completed his MFA in Creative Writing through the Mountainview Master of Fine Arts program. Besides writing fiction, he contributes to Cognoscenti, the opinion page of WBUR Boston, and has also written for Entropy Magazine and CrimeReads.
