John R. Maxim is an American author known for his spy fiction, mystery, and thriller novels, particularly the Bannerman series. He hails from a family with a background in law enforcement. After completing his education, he enlisted in the military but ultimately pursued a career in marketing and advertising. Following a successful stint in that field, John decided to turn to writing, giving himself a year to achieve success. He sold his first novel at the age of 41. John and his wife Christine reside in Hilton Head, South Carolina. His debut novel, Platforms, was published in 1980. Below is a list of John R.
