John Katzenbach is an American writer known for his psychological thrillers. He has authored several notable novels, including In the Heat of Summer, Just Cause, and Hart’s War, all of which were adapted into major films. Prior to his writing career, Katzenbach served as a court reporter for the Miami Herald and the Miami News. He is the son of Nicholas Katzenbach, who was the U.S. Attorney General under Lyndon B. Johnson. John resides in Massachusetts with his wife, journalist Madeleine Blais. He published his first novel, In the Heat of Summer, in 1982, which received an Edgar Award nomination for Best First Novel.
