Jobie Hughes is an American author known for his young adult sci-fi and fantasy works under the collective pseudonym Pittacus Lore, alongside James Frey, as well as for his literary fiction. He began writing at the age of 24 and moved from Ohio to New York City to study at Columbia University’s School of the Arts, graduating in 2009 with an MFA in Creative Writing. Hughes made his debut as a published author in 2010 with the novel I Am Number Four (as Pittacus Lore). His first book published under his own name, titled At Dawn, was released in 2012.
