Jill Santopolo is an American author known for her women’s fiction, romance novels, and children's books. She is a bestselling author, recognized by both the New York Times and USA Today. Jill holds a BA in English Literature from Columbia University, an MFA in Writing for Children from the Vermont College of Fine Arts, and a certificate in Intellectual Property Law from NYU. She has served as a thesis advisor in The New School's MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults and has been part of the faculty at the Columbia Publishing Course. Jill has traveled widely to discuss writing and storytelling across the US, Canada, and Europe. In addition to her writing career, she is the publisher of Philomel, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group, where she edits acclaimed, award-winning, and bestselling titles. Jill resides in Washington, DC, and New York with her husband and daughter. She made her authorial debut in 2008 with "Nina, the Pinta, and the Vanishing Treasure."
