Order of Jenny Slate Books

Jenny Slate is an American actress, comedian, and author known for creating the Marcel the Shell With Shoes On videos, which were later adapted into children's books. In 2019, she published her first essay collection titled Little Weirds. Born in 1982 in Milton, Massachusetts, Slate attended Columbia University, majoring in literature, where she also got involved in improv. She made several guest appearances on TV shows before landing her first significant film role in Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked. In 2014, she won a Critics Choice Award for Best Actress in a Comedy for her performance in Obvious Child. Slate contributed to the TV show Big Mouth, voicing a mixed-race character, but eventually chose to leave, believing that black characters should be voiced by black actors. She has two children.
