Jean Johnson is an American author known for her fantasy and science fiction novels, often incorporating elements of romance. She has written the Sons of Destiny series, Theirs Not to Reason Why, Flame Sea, and other series. With 25 years of involvement in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), she enjoys singing and frequently engages in playful disputes with her cats over the office chair. Jean resides in a home equipped with zone heating and adequate plumbing, but she dreams of adding turrets and ramparts to give it a more castle-like appearance. Currently, she lives in the Pacific Northwest. Jean made her publishing debut in 2007 with The Sword, which launched her Sons of Destiny series.
