Jason Matthews is an American writer known for his spy thriller novels. Prior to his writing career, he was employed by the CIA in the Operations Directorate, now known as the National Clandestine Service. For more than thirty years, he operated globally, gathering intelligence for national security in a covert manner. Matthews conducted recruitment operations targeting various individuals and also engaged in counter-terrorism efforts. He currently resides in Southern California.
